Skin like Silk!

November 9, 2017

The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation is my current November favourite. This will be the foundation that takes me through the party season.

It claims to be Inspired by the finest fabrics and I can say with conviction that this lightweight foundation definitely feels like silk on the skin. I don't think I can say it feels like charmeuse silk but it makes my skin feel soft, supple and so luxurious. The purpose of this foundation is to correct and unify the complexion and give a luminosity to the skin.

It comes in 24 shades and my shade is number 6 medium-olive. The coverage can be light and dewy or buildable- covering pimples and blemishes without looking cakey. It doesn't separate on my skin throughout the day. My skin is dry to combination and some foundations can cling to my fine lines but this is a dream on the skin.

I’ve been wearing this with and without a primer but for an evening look I definitely notice a more flawless look when I have applied a primer first. My current favourite primer with this foundation is the Tom Ford bronzing primer in the colour resort to pleasure.

This foundation does not look heavy on the skin it's lightweight formula is synonymous with  Armani and just like the silks and lightweight layers in his designs this is portrayed in this foundation.

Age range- this isn't just for the young angels out there. This foundation is fabulous on mature skin and won't sit in the fine lines, the dewy nature will give the skin the luminosity it needs.

Lets talk price range. It is a high end foundation and it retails for £40. I do not regret paying this amount and in my eyes it is worth every penny. A little goes a long way and this is definitely a product that is worth the investment.
